Description All though it is not the nicest looking foliage plant per say, the fragrance from the carnation-like or rose-like white blooms are amazing! Jasmine sambac is a shrub and tends to grow leggy and straight up and will need some pruning from time to time. It is an early bloomer and blooms constantly in the spring and summer if warm and grown outdoors. It is a beautiful double flower with the most heavenly scent. This is our best selling plant on our website.   FAMILY : Oleaceae ORIGIN : India, Burma, Bangladesh TYPE/USES : shrub in a container or in the garden in tropical climate MATURE SIZE : 4′ – 6′ LIGHT REQUIREMENTS : full sun to partial sun WATER REQUIREMENTS : average/medium MIN. TEMP. : may take mid-high 20’s for a short period of time, but best to keep above freezing FLOWER : spring, summer, early fall if warm / lovely fragrance Fasciation is common on the Jasmine ‘Grand Duke of Tuscany’ and especially on “Supreme”. Even though we grow all the varieties of Jasmines together, you only see fasciation on those two varieties. That doesn’t mean that all of the flowers would be like that. Some are, others are not. Fasciation is when the flowers fuse or bundle into one large flower. It is quite interesting.
